In July 2024, Daisy received a diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer. After undergoing MRIs, CT scans, and a bone scan, she was relieved to learn that the cancer had not spread. She immediately began her treatment with 12 rounds of Taxol in September, completing them by December. Following that, she started 4 rounds of AC in December, with her final session taking place in February.

Throughout her treatment, she used cold caps, picking up dry ice the night before each session and wearing the caps for about five hours after treatment. These caps, which are -35 degrees Celsius, were instrumental in helping her keep most of her hair, which was incredibly important to her, especially since she has a curious 4-year-old daughter. Daisy’s goal was to keep her daughter’s life as normal as possible, showcasing her dedication as a wonderful mother. She also had a fantastic support system, particularly with her husband, Anthony, by her side. In March, Daisy underwent surgery and received the encouraging news that her margins were clear. “We don’t know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have.”

Once part of the CWC family, always part of the CWC family – our team is excited to keep in touch and are so thankful for all the ways the family has already paid it forward.
