We first encountered Paul and his family shortly after he was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2023. He promptly started intensive treatment to curb the progression of the disease, and our team has been by his side ever since.

Family and friends named their journey “Rally 4 Reynolds,” and they certainly live up to the name! In organizing our 10th annual 5K, we had the joy of honoring Paul. A total of 170 participants joined their team, walking alongside the family (the largest team in the history of our event!). Oldest son Eamonn completed the run and returned to cross the finish line alongside his dad. A memorable moment also captured in a photograph. Through conversations, we learned that Paul had previously organized a 5K event at Gaelic Park. Some of his past beneficiaries were also among our own recipients. A small world our Southside community truly is.  This was just another example of Paul’s eagerness to assist others in need.

Eamonn once asked us, “How do you select our honorees?” Our selection always leans towards individuals who prefer to give rather than receive, yet embrace us warmly and teach us a thing or two along the way. Without a doubt, we would choose Paul time and time again.

One of the qualities we admire most in Paul is his commitment to his family. He approaches fatherhood with great devotion and has dedicated a substantial amount of his free time to youth sports and coaching.

Paul is at home right now, surrounded by the support of family and friends as he receives hospice care. We send our love, thoughts and prayers as we continue to Rally 4 Reynolds!
