Dear Friends,

Christmas Without Cancer (CWC) is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 2003 by Gerri Neylon, a former oncology nurse. Gerri was inspired by the challenges faced by families undergoing cancer treatments, including the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of the illness. What began as a simple initiative to assist one family during the holiday season has evolved into a year-round commitment, providing support to local families every day of the year.

Since its founding, CWC has supported thousands of friends, neighbors, and families within our community. In 2025, the vision grew stronger when CWC secured its first headquarters, aiming to enhance its impact in the community.

On a day-to-day basis, CWC provides recipients with financial grants and gift cards to help pay for living expenses like mortgages/rent, utilities, gas, tuition, groceries, medications, medical bills, and travel expenses for treatment. During the holidays, CWC provides recipients with a little extra cheer, including financial grants, gift cards, holiday gifts, holiday meals, fun family experiences, and many other surprises.

CWC is excited to announce its 8th Annual Harvesting Hope event, scheduled for Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at Bourbon Street, located at 3359 W. 115th St. in Merrionette Park. We aim to raise essential funds that will allow us to continue our mission of supporting families battling this disease during their toughest times. We warmly invite your support through sponsorship or monetary/in-kind donations. Any contribution from you or your business would be greatly appreciated.
