INFO

  • The game starts with 54 cards face down sealed in a certified gaming board, 52 regular cards plus 2 Jokers.
  • Every week one ticket is drawn from the drum.
  • The number written on the drawn ticket will be cut from the certified gaming board.
  • PRESENT AT THE DRAWING:
If your ticket is drawn and your selected number reveals the Queen of Hearts, you win 60% of the jackpot (40% will be awarded to the nonprofit Christmas Without Cancer).
  • NOT PRESENT AT THE DRAWING:
If your ticket is drawn and your selected number reveals the Queen of Hearts, you win 50% of the jackpot (50% will be awarded to the nonprofit Christmas Without Cancer).
  • If the queen is not revealed during the weekly drawing, the jackpot will rollover and all tickets will be discarded.
  • If your ticket is drawn from the drum during the drawing, you will receive 24 free tickets to the following weeks drawing.  Winner does not need to be present to receive the free tickets.  A CWC representative will reach out.

DRAWINGS

  • Held on Thursdays at 7pm at St. James Place located at 5305 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn.
  • Last call for tickets will be announced by a bartender or a CWC volunteer around 6:50pm.
  • Postponed drawings will be at the discretion of Christmas Without Cancer and/or St. James Place.
    • If a drawing is postponed, purchased tickets will remain active and will be included in the next scheduled drawing.
  • The board will be displayed at St. James Place and will include all tickets pulled (phone numbers will be whited out for privacy).
  • Drawing announcements will be made on Christmas Without Cancer’s Facebook page.

  • Joker (Kill Card) is revealed, the board will reset; a new board will be presented, and the jackpot will roll over.
  • Winners are always required to report gambling winnings.
  • CWC is required to fill out a W-2G and withhold federal income tax winnings over $5,000.  The winner will receive his or her prize less the required withholding.  Any taxes withheld will be paid to the IRS by CWC.  CWC does not provide tax advice to winners, and winners should consult a Certified Public Accountant with any questions regarding tax reporting.
  • CWC will not pay out unless the winner provides all personal information necessary to complete the W-2G including Social Security Number within 30 days of notification of the prize.  If the winner refuses or fails to provide the necessary information within the timeframe allotted, then the board will reset, and the pot will rollover.

Christmas Without Cancer reserves the right to payout up to 60 days after the announcement.
